YAMAHA GOLF-CAR COMPANY

COVID-19 BEST PRACTICES

At Yamaha, the health and safety of our customers and employees are first and foremost in our minds. Our organization is constantly monitoring the progress of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and we are following the precautions and guidelines set forth by the CDC, WHO, and public officials.

As a valued customer of Yamaha, we truly hope that our products have provided you, your family, and your friends with many enjoyable experiences. Times will get better, and very soon we will again enjoy creating more memories that will last for years to come.

During this time, we wanted to provide some best practices that we’ve compiled surrounding proper Yamaha vehicle cleaning and disinfecting. We believe that by working together, we can help stop the spread of this virus.

As of right now, golf remains one of the safer forms of exercise in which people may participate. Should any of our customers wish to play, Yamaha would like to encourage everyone to be mindful of their social distancing while enjoying the game and to always follow all guidelines set forth by individual municipalities, clubs, courses, etc. Yamaha recommends no more than one (1) player per car at a time. As always, safety is our main priority.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTING GUIDELINES FOR YAMAHA VEHICLES

According to the World Health Organization, cleaning refers to removing dirt and germs from surfaces. Cleaning does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection. Disinfecting, however, refers to using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. By killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.

As our knowledge and understanding of the virus continues to evolve, both cleaning and disinfecting will be a critical part of the defense against COVID-19.

WEAR APPROPRIATE GEAR:

Be sure to wear personal protective gear (such as disposable gloves) when cleaning or disinfecting cars between uses.

USE PROPER DISINFECTANTS:

Diluted household bleach, alcohol, or household disinfectant solutions are effective for killing the virus. Please visit this link for a complete list of EPA-recommended disinfecting products.
