We asked the owner Brett some questions about Metrolina and below are his responses.
Q: How did you get I to the industry?
A: Back in 2009, on behalf of the economy crashing, i was laid off from an engineering firm. My college roommate was working at shop in Columbia and asked if I wanted to give it a try. After several months of doing it, my father and i decided top open up shop in Rock Hill, SC!
Q: When did your business really take off and why?
A: About 5 years ago business really started picking up. Advertising and putting a word a mouth foot print in our community grew our business tremendously. Acquiring the Major dealer lines have been a big boost for our business as well
Q: What are your future plan for growth and expansion?
A: We intend to continue our current grown at our current location and are currently looking into development of our second location! We are always diligently looking for opportunity to grow our business through dealer networking and local community events. We tend to entertain all options available for future growth and expansion.
Q: Where do you see the future of the industry?
A: This industry is growing rapidly with new technologies being presented frequently. I believe the course society is taking, the large amounts of residential neighborhoods in development now and in the future is going to continue to make the golf cart industry stronger!
Q: Can you tell us about your team?
A: We are a family owned business. My father Del, my mother Jodie, and i run the day to day operations of the company! We are fortunate to have a great hard working staff that keeps the daily duties moving to keep our business successful!
Q: What was your favorite build and why? (pics as well if you have them)
A: There are so many favorites its difficult to choose. A friend of mine served this great nation for us. In an unfortunate circumstance he lost several friends in combat. It was special to me to put together a cart representing his achievements and honor of being in the military as well as commemorating his fallen brothers. It was and honor to do this build and bring a smile to his face in an unfortunate situation.
